Senior Backend Developer (Node.js/PostgreSQL)

We are looking for a Backend Developer (Node.js/PostgreSQL) to join the team of Back-end Engineers and build scalable services.
About the role
As a Backend Developer, you will be a key contributor to our product engineering team. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality features that serve millions of users across the world. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for building reliable software.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js and related frameworks.
- Build and maintain database schemas and queries with PostgreSQL and Redis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and reliability.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in backend development.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js, Express.js, and TypeScript.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and message brokers like Kafka.
- Solid understanding of RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
- Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a distributed team.
Nice to have
- Experience with ClickHouse or other OLAP databases.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
